Prison Industries Resources

As a preventive measure against spreading Covid-19, in order to protect personal staff and the inmates, and with the shortage of certain PPE and other materials, it has been seen that some prison industries are producing their own equipment inside the workshops. We are inviting jurisdictions to share their technical specifications for the manufacturing of such items so that it can perhaps be adopted by other prison services who are in need of such supplies.

The information below provides links to instructions received from various agencies as well as sources of information that are freely available on the internet. ICPA urges caution on adopting any of these procedures and to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to ensure the health and safety of all concerned in both the manufacturing and use of ‘homemade’ solutions.
