Saleha Rashidi
Centre Manager, Singapore Muslim Women’s Association (PPIS) - Rise Above Halfway House, Singapore
Saleha Rashidi is a trained social worker who now leads the dynamic team serving the residential space of Rise Above, the first secular female halfway house in Singapore.
She has been in direct practice for more than a decade and her previous specialisation was stepfamily and remarriage intervention, which included delivery of numerous workshops, support group sessions with stepparents and training for fellow professionals.
For the past three years, she has dedicated her attention to champion and set up Rise Above, a structured space with a focus on creating a trauma-informed environment with gender-responsive practices.
Saleha graduated with Honours in Social Work from the National University of Singapore and received training for interventions and supervision with Systemic and Family Therapy. In 2023, she was recognised by National Council of Social Services as one of the promising 40-under-40 leaders in Singapore.
