The presentation will provide an insight into how the European prison community has been advancing their climate and sustainability ambitions and reducing costs as referenced in the recent EuroPris report.
The climate crisis requires us to act and think differently about how we manage our operations and look after our land and buildings. Prisons who have embraced change and taken steps to address climate concerns are now seen as leaders across government.
The presentation will provide real world examples to illustrate how prisons can reduce their environmental footprint, improve energy efficiency, strengthen the management of water and waste, lower their greenhouse gas emissions, support nature recovery and lower costs.
