Safety and operational efficiency in custodial environments can often hinge on human performance under stress. Traditional siloed system solutions lead to fragmented attention; orchestration and integration helps to restore it. This session examines an operator‑centred innovation pattern where we provide a unifying layer for operational technology systems (CCTV, access, intercom/PA, perimeter, fire/HVAC, Drones etc). We show how contextual guidance, location‑aware user interface, one‑click video call‑up, and SOP management translates policy into consistent action, while automation rules reduce errors and speed up response. A standardised Asset Manager and Incident Dossier captures decisions, evidence, and outcomes to enable investigations and long term analysis. We propose a collaborative approach with operators, focusing on operational metrics (response times, alarm triage accuracy), quality metrics (SOP adherence, documentation completeness), safety outcomes (staff/inmate harm indicators), and equity/ethics measures (false‑positive parity, auditability, privacy‑by‑design).Attendees will leave with a replicable integration pattern and a metrics framework for cross‑site evaluations.
