Graduated in psychology and criminology, I started my career in 2009 as an expert psychologist in prison. After 3 years in the psychosocial department of Brussels and Ittre prisons, I continued my career by joining the central administration of the General Directorate for Prisons – SPF Justice. For 10 years, my work consisted of taking decisions (based on the analysis of files) regarding the granting/ refusal of home leaves and prison leaves. I have also served since 2016 as an associate judge specialized in social reintegration at the Sentence Enforcement Court of Brussels/ Tribunal d’Application des Peines de Bruxelles.
Since May 2022, I have joined the management team of Ittre prison. I am responsible for training and activities in detention. I am also responsible for supervising the detention of about 80 detainees. As a member of the management team, I assist the Prison Director in the tasks that fall under the management of the prison.

I have a degree in psychology, having first worked for 10 years as a psychologist in the psychosocial department of Lantin prison. I was promoted to director 14 years ago. I work in a large team of 13 directors. I work in Lantin prison, the largest prison in the South part of Belgium. There are all legal categories of prisoners in this prison (remand prisoners, convicted prisoners, internees), men and women, of all profiles. I am responsible for the convicts sector and the women's quarter. I mainly deal with the regime of prisoners (management of the daily life of prisoners in the prison) but also the management of individual files of prisoners (men and women).
I have been in charge for many years of all the organization and coordination of courses, training (formation), socio-cultural and sports activities for convicts and women. I have a great motivation and a great interest in this subject, which is very close to reintegration, which makes it possible to build bridges between prison and civil society. At Lantin prison, we offer music classes, theater, cooking, yoga, fitness, cross-fit, football, writing workshop, jewelry making, personal development, drawing, sewing, management, accounting, English, literacy, sculpture.

Graduated in psychology, I worked for 10 years as a psychologist in the psychosocial service of the prison of Mons. I then joined the court for the application of sentences in Mons where I worked for a little over 7 years as a social reintegration assessor. I then wanted to return to the field. Via an internal mobility exam, I joined the management team of Mons prison (a prison for men and women and internees) in 2014 and worked there until 2018 with the main assignment of management of the regime of prisoners (management of the daily life of prisoners in prison) but also of the management of the individual files of prisoners (men and women), the management of the psychosocial service, the coordination of cultural and sports activities.
Since April 2018 I have been working at Leuze-en-Hainaut prison. It is a prison that accommodates 352 male prisoners. The institutional policy is focused on the reintegration and mobilization of personal skills through training, work, cultural and sports activities, but also personal development tools (mindfulness, enneagram, gift of forgiveness, etc.).

I am responsible for the registry, the personnel department and manage the individual files of detainees as well as the UEFA D patent project. The possible bridges between this project and the return to civil society are very close to my concern for social reintegration.
