After 14 years of experience as technical and software engineer in different industries in private sector, Jacques Hensen joined the public sector in 2005. He is currently working as ICT Manager at Luxembourg Penitentiary Center, responsible for IT, security and communication projects in Luxembourg prisons. In addition, he contributed to implement Electronic Monitoring in Luxembourg since 2009. Since 2016, he is a member of the EuroPris ICT Expert Group.
Prison Director, FPS Justice, Belgium
Nancy Wijns is currently a member of the board of directors in the prison of Ghent, responsible for the logistic, financial, technical and ICT services within the prison. She holds a Masters degree in Psychology, is a certified therapist, solution-focused coach, and has attended a public management program.
ICT Expert, FPS Justice, Belgium
Sylvie Lamont started in 2005 as a social assistant at the psychosocial service in the prison of Ghent. She acquired experience in different prisons (Ghent, Bruges, Forest and Berkendael). At the same time, because of her great interest in IT, she was asked to solve small problems. In 2012, she started as a Local Power User (ICT) in the prison of Ghent, resolving local ICT problems and being a support for coworkers. She made a final transfer in 2013 to the ICT department in the headquarters in Brussels where she worked as a ServiceDesk coordinator. In the meantime, she was also working on obtaining a degree in computer science. In 2021, she started within the detention digitalization service where she is responsible to roll out the new digital services platform for the inmates in all Belgian prisons.
