Suparnee Jay Pongruengphant
Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Advisor, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Thailand
Suparnee holds the position of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Advisor at UNDP Thailand. In this capacity, he oversees the day-to-day management and operations of the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion components of UNDP Thailand's workplan. His primary focus is on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and effective projects, with a particular emphasis on integrating gender perspectives into programming and operations. His role is dedicated to improving the institutional effectiveness of mainstreaming gender and social inclusion, as well as empowering women.
Before taking on his current role, Suparnee served as the Project Manager for Gender Equality and Social Inclusion at UNDP Thailand. In that capacity, he actively promoted the rights of marginalized groups in Thailand, including the LGBTI community, Persons with Disabilities, and People Living with HIV. Collaborating closely with government, civil society, and private sector partners, Suparnee advocated for legislative and policy changes to guarantee equal access to health and social services for these vulnerable groups.
