Over the last 15 years the Northern Ireland Prison Service has played a significant role in advancing the Northern Ireland Executives climate and sustainability ambitions.  

This has included steps to reduce the organisations environmental footprint, improve energy efficiency, lower our Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) and support nature recovery. The Northern Ireland Prison Service is now seen as one of the leading lights within Northern Ireland’s central government on championing positive environmental change.  Join us as we explore how to begin your own sustainability journey; illustrating how you can lower your own energy, water and waste consumption and reduce costs whilst supporting the advancement of environmental and biodiversity improvements across the prison estate.

Tony is Chair of the EuroPris Real Estate Expert Group. He is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Project Manager with 35 years’ experience operating as a construction professional for consultants and client bodies delivering commercial, healthcare, education and custodial projects throughout the UK and Ireland. For the last 20 years Tony has headed the estates department of the Northern Ireland Prison Service and was amongst the first experts to be appointed to the EuroPris Prison Real Estate Expert Group when it was  launched in 2015. He has co-authored several EuroPris reports on prison infrastructure related topics.
