We will present the findings of the 2022 inspection of prisoner resettlement work (England and Wales) undertaken by prison and probation inspectors using samples of prisoners and recently released people on license. The findings will be analysed through the lens of implementation and policy failure. We will end by presenting some recommendations to improve prisoner resettlement.
