Jonas Hviid Mønster

Partner, Head Business and Process Development, Alex Poulsen Architects, Denmark

Since 2016, Jonas has been a partner and CEO at Alex Poulsen Architects. 
He leads and coordinates the studio’s portfolio of tasks, which includes tasks in connection with ongoing framework agreements and tasks for public authorities as well as for private builders. Jonas is usually found at the helm of the good cooperation between the client, users, advisers, and other parties – which is highly valued at the design studio. As an experienced client advisor and building consultant, on several complex projects with a high degree of user involvement and stakeholder management, Jonas finds his primary strengths in facilitating user involvement processes, preparing specifications of requirements, developing early-stage planning and scrutinize tender processes. In his work, Jonas ensures high quality, an open and accessible process, and the feeling of ownership across a project's stakeholders.
Depending on which role and context Jonas is part of in the building process, he has the ability to adapt his work from dealing with overall and strategic questions on one hand, and to maintaining specific technical solutions on the other – this all facilitated by his professional background as a constructing architect.  
Jonas has furthermore experience in conducting market analyses for public developers, including in collaboration with the Danish Economic and Financial Services Authority. The aim of the market analysis has been to uncover the market's reaction to price and quality levels, to identify the most advantageous form of contract on specific task types.  
As the secondary speaker of this session, Jonas will contribute with in-depth knowledge and applied practice of both sustainable planning and humane correction facilities – in relation to innovation in the built environment of prison infrastructure.

Dr Hildegard Sint

Hildegard studied architecture at the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck, at the Vienna University of Technology and at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Marseille, France. Hildegard completed studies with a doctoral thesis specialising in Architecture and Identity at the Vienna University of Technology. In the following Hildegard worked as an architect in various architectural offices in Austria and France as well as organising international symposiums and publications such as "Along the Great Wall: Architecture and Identity in China and Mongolia", 2009, and "Indonesia: Architecture, Culture and Identity", 2011 at the Vienna University of Technology. 
From autumn 2018 Hildegard worked at the University of Applied Sciences Vienna in the department "Architecture - Green Building" as an external lecturer in the Bachelor programme and since summer 2019 as a full-time lecturer in the Bachelor and Master programme Architecture - Green Building as well as in research for national and international projects including networking with international colleges and universities. The focus of Hildegard's teaching includes skills training for future architects with regard to interdisciplinary working methods and participatory building as well as a critical examination of different building typologies and precarious housing. Together with colleague Claudia Körmer, Hildegard is leading the research project “Efficient, Secure Structural Detention Design in Prisons in Austria – ESDD”. 

Claudia Körmer

Claudia studied sociology and philosophy at the University of Vienna. Having worked in research and teaching in the "Risk and Security Managemen" department at University of Applied Sciences Vienna since summer 2014, Claudia is also responsible for the realisation of national and international social science projects, such as the study "Economic and Industrial Espionage in Austrian Companies 2015" and the study "Corporate Security in the D-A-CH Region 2016". From 2017 to 2018, Claudia led the Kiras project "AQUS - Training and Quality Standards for Security Service Providers". Since October 2020, Claudia has been project manager of the Kiras follow-up project AQUS II. Prior to 2014, Claudia worked at the KFV (Austrian Road Safety Board) in the areas of road safety education, home, leisure and sports accidents and crime prevention. Together with her colleague Hildegard Sint, Claudia works on the research project "Efficient, Secure Structural Detention Design in Prisons in Austria – ESDD". Furthermore, she is responsible for the "Security Culture in the Austrian Critical Infrastructure" research project.
