In jurisdictions around the world, challenges with adequate staffing and misconduct were exacerbated during the COVID pandemic. Experts in Security and Mental Health will examine the psychological factors and environmental conditions that make staff at risk for professional misconduct.
Using audience participation and video clips, participants will discover the hidden influences for how good staff can become at risk for bad behavior. Participants will acquire the skills to identify the risk factors, develop prevention strategies, and the tools to begin reducing the incidence of professional misconduct in their agencies. With audience participation, the critical role of leadership and supervisory staff in deterrence will be examined.
