In addition to the research within the health system on the importance of architecture for the therapeutic environment, the Danish Prison and Probation Service works based on experience to create humane and "normal" environments to support both a good and motivating prison environment for the inmates and a good working environment for the staff. This applies, among other things, to the work of designing the visitor facilities, where there is a particular focus on ensuring that both children and adults have a good experience.
