In line with our understanding of contemporary execution, the Ministry carries out the project of Integration of Smart Technologies into Prisons, short name ACEP, in order to ensure that our penal institutions and convicts and detainees benefit from technological developments, to carry out work and procedures efficiently, to reduce allegations of human rights violations and in line with our principle of transparent management.
Within the scope of the project, applications such as video calls and e-doctor application, which have never been done before, have been implemented. A design that can be developed in terms of content has been preferred and the contents developed as of now are: audio and video calls, counting, petition, canteen order and online payment, library book request, e-letter, e-doctor and Ministry communication applications.

Since 2014, Berker Küçükçetin has been carrying out studies on behalf of the Turkish Penal Execution System. After working for 3 years in various positions in prison, he was assigned to the General Directorate. After carrying out various studies in the field of human rights in the General Directorate, he is responsible for various technology projects, especially the integration of smart technologies into prisons.
