12pm – 12.30pm GMT, 28 October 2026 ‐ 30 mins

Room: Meeting Room 3B (Level 3)

Parallel Workshops

This session focusses on the collaborative approach between Prisoner Wellbeing,  the PRISM team and IT provider to  modernise how we work and the introduction of innovative IT solutions. These solutions have enabled staff at all levels across NI Prisons to keep and maintain real time records, manage work activity, share information and provide assurance.

Innovative IT solutions, built collaboratively on an Agile basis with all business areas have transformed the delivery of how we support people at risk in the prisoner community, how we support people held within our Care and Supervision Units and how we promote positive behaviour within the prisoner community.

The involvement of staff at all grades has resulted in effective solutions that have evolved over time. They have reduced reliance on paper and enabled the introduction of handheld devices. This has transformed working practice and contributed to improved safety throughout the prisoner community.
