The importance of Malaysia’s cooperation – government agency, friendly, and continuous government agencies need to be emphasized in addressing issues and challenges in the post-pandemic prison management recovery period. The Malaysian Prisons Department has taken steps in line with the current pandemic and post-pandemic situation to achieve the department’s vision and mission at the global level. The continuous and holistic concerted efforts of the department, the involvement and participation of relevant ministries, agencies including the private sector, and other important parties are very important in realizing the department’s goals as well as in ensuring that rehabilitation programs can be implemented even during and after pandemic without compromising the safety of staff or the community out there.
