Mr. Van Poecke started his career in 1992 as a deputy director in the prison of Bruges. During his career he has worked in, and lead multiple prisons, including the prisons in Bruges and Brussels. He also carried out many missions for the Council of Europe, the cpt or other services of the Council of Europe. His newest challenge is building and starting up the new prison of Haren as the head of the establishment.
