Our key finding is that secure digital devices have the potential to ease re-integration and transition back into the community through increasing independence, proactiveness, responsibility and autonomy. In addition to better preparing incarcerated people for re-entry, these digital devices make the correctional environments safer, more productive and conducive to personal growth and rehabilitation.
