Parallel Workshops

The New Samoranovo prison is designed to support rehabilitation and benefit the surrounding neighbourhood by repurposing abandoned buildings, allowing for future expansion, and implementing windows without bars. The prison offers recreational activities and green spaces for gardening. An integrated school with local teachers provides tailored education for inmates, while the Staff Training Centre offers continuous learning courses on mental health support, rehabilitation techniques, and conflict resolution. Halfway Houses provide a more independent living environment for prisoners nearing their sentence, while a Social Center connects inmates with the local community. The construction incorporates local materials, labor, and waste reuse to support the local economy and reduce environmental impact.
