Volunteers play a valuable role in corrections. They can be the bridge between persons with incarceration experience and the community, strengthen social bonds, and create lasting positive change. Volunteers bring compassion, commitment and energy, and can make a powerful difference in breaking cycles of reoffending.
This meeting brings practitioners together to discuss the successes and challenges of working with volunteers, and build a community to share best practices and resources.
