Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim is Singapore's Minister of State for Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development. A/P Faishal is also a Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC. A/P Faishal leads the fight against drug abuse in Singapore and oversees the rehabilitation and reintegration efforts for offenders and ex-offenders. A/P Faishal chairs the committee that looks into the support provided for the vulnerable minority groups (offenders, ex-offenders, and their families) and also co-chairs the committee that looks into the national efforts in preventing offending and re-offending.
A/P Faishal graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in real estate management in 1993. He completed his master’s degree in real estate management at NUS in 1996 as the best overall student in his cohort and was awarded his PhD (Management Science) in 2000 from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology under the NUS-Overseas Graduate Scholarship.
