Marco Fiorentino

Marco Fiorentino is Executive Director of NEC Digital Studio, a key pillar of NEC Software Solutions specialising in digital, user-centred solutions for government. His Corrections career began in 2006 in the UK probation service, delivering behaviour change programmes for people convicted of violent, sexual, and domestic abuse-related offences. He went on to hold senior leadership roles in probation before co-founding RISE Mutual in 2014, the first employee-owned spin-out from the public probation sector, which delivered evidence-based interventions nationally for both offenders and victims.

In 2016, Marco moved into digital transformation, joining NEC as lead consultant on a national project with the Youth Justice Board. He played a central role in designing and implementing a new case management and assessment system, delivered on time and on budget to 5,000 users across England and Wales. His subsequent leadership of NEC’s justice products portfolio saw the creation of multiple national case management and intervention systems now embedded in probation, prisons, and youth justice services.

Today, Marco leads NEC Digital Studio, which combines justice technology expertise with human-centred design to deliver solutions for the Ministry of Justice, Home Office, Police Digital Service, Youth Justice Board, and local authorities. His expertise spans offender rehabilitation, youth justice, digital transformation, low-code case management, and agile, user-centred design approaches to public sector technology.

Ian Porée

Industry Lead Justice & Corrections, NEC Australia

Ian Porée is a senior public service and business leader with more than 30 years’ experience across government, correctional services, technology-enabled transformation, commercial services and charitable governance.

He has held senior leadership roles in the UK civil service, including in the Ministry of Justice, the National Offender Management Service and HM Prison and Probation Service, where he led major justice reform, commissioning and operational programmes across prisons, probation and offender services in England and Wales.

Ian has been accountable for national-scale correctional services reform, including the Transforming Rehabilitation programme, outcome-based commissioning of offender services, management of complex public service contracts, and oversight of community rehabilitation, resettlement and accommodation services. He chaired both the National HMPPS Digital and Data Board and the Commercial Management Board, overseeing the deployment of technology into frontline prison and probation operations.

Alongside his public service career, Ian has significant private sector experience in technology and business services. He has led major outsourced technology contracts, held P&L and chief executive responsibilities, and advised public sector, charity and NGO clients on digital strategy, data, AI and operational improvement.

Ian is also a board-level leader in the charitable and not-for-profit sector, with roles connected to homelessness, family support and prison ministry. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Criminology and Penology from the University of Cambridge and brings an analytical, values-led approach to reform, leadership and technology-enabled change.
