Corrections systems worldwide are being asked to do more, for more people, with more complexity, and fewer resources. This session argues that the answer is not simply more technology, but a deliberate reallocation of human attention: letting technology absorb administrative load so practitioners, leaders and people in the system can focus on the keeping the public safe and strengthening the one thing that matters in rehabilitation - human relationships.

Drawing on cross-sector partnership experience, the speakers explore what it means to co-design corrections systems around human potential rather than risk management alone, and what public–private collaboration needs to look like to make that shift real, safe and sustainable.
