Gill is a senior civil servant and forensic psychologist, with almost three decades experience in designing and delivering innovative prison services and driving evidence based decision making. Throughout the pandemic she has been responsible for enabling HMPPS to learn and respond. She is currently leading the reform of prison culture as well as developing the organisation’s capability to build and apply data, evidence and insight. Gill was awarded the Inaugural International Psychology and Law Practitioner Award in 2011 and an OBE in 2012 for outstanding leadership, innovation and service design, working with the most challenging people.
