Ivan Calder is the Chief Executive Officer for Health through Walls and the Chair of the ICPA Health Care Network Group. He has a nursing degree, master’s in addiction psychiatry, master’s in business administration, and amongst other roles, has served as a Corrections Officer for the United Nations, Program Director, Prison Governor, and Assistant Commissioner for justice administration in Australia, and Head of Healthcare for the National Health Services across 20 prison locations in the United Kingdom. Ivan has direct experience in healthcare and management within prison environments and multi-jurisdictional correctional administration capabilities. Central themes running through his career include a commitment to public service, the pursuit of continuous improvement, and a love of working in partnership with stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Cremilde Anli

National Director of the Healthcare Service, Mozambique Prison Service (SERNAP), Mozambique

Cremilde Alice da Silva Moambe Anli is a general practitioner, National Director of the Health Care Service at the National Penitentiary Service of Mozambique, born on April 8, 1972 in the city of Lourenço Marques (Maputo City). She graduated in medicine from the Eduardo Mondlane University, in Mozambique, in 2000 and holds a master’s degree in health systems from the Sérgio Arouca National School of Public Health – Fiocruz, Brazil.

She is responsible for designing policies and strategies for the sector. Manages medical-stomatology and hygienic-epidemiological assistance to all Penitentiary Facilities in the country contributing to keep both inmates and officers in good health; Establishes the necessary coordination and cooperation throughout the national territory with the National Health Service to ensure medical attention to penitentiary facilities; Creates plans and monitor their implementation and the health conditions of the prison population; She is the coordinator/responsible for the implementation of the Key Population projects at SERNAP, such as: 100% Vida by Pathfinder, VIVA+ by FDC (Foundation for Community Development – 2021 to the present), in Mozambican penitentiaries, with the support of cooperation partners from the health area.
