Julie Truschel has worked since 1985 in various capacities of juvenile and adult corrections.
Involvement with researchers creating the ‘What Works’ curriculum made a dramatic impact, after which she began working with administrators nationwide to assess current local processes and integrate evidence-based practices (EBP) within operations. For the most recent 25 years, Ms. Truschel has provided independent consulting services to government agencies as well as national and international private companies with an emphasis on a continuum of care model. Her current focus is creating and directing the Supervision Around the World (SAW) Project. This endeavor strives to chart supervision practices from every country in the world so that we might learn from each other and bring positive change through international collaboration.
