Steve Doggett is a Probation Systems Consultant and UK Probation Sales Lead for Unilink Software since July 2019. Steve holds lead sales responsibility for Unilink’s Probation product range and services. He is involved in product design and ideation across Unilink’s range of solutions and services, ensuring an evidence-based approach is well embedded in new innovations. Steve is a passionate advocate for the Probation Service, and he features regularly on social media channels advocating about digital Probation Services as ProbationSteve.
Steve’s early career began as a Probation Officer before transitioning into organisational development, training and performance roles. He worked in a central post as quality and effective practice manager at HMPPS, UK Ministry of Justice. Steve also trained as a qualified Mental Health Social Worker, and he is an advocate for improving mental health and wellbeing in the CJS.
Steve has been involved in some notable system design for Probation Service applications showcasing some vital contributions to:
•   Development of Omnia, a fully integrated, intuitive dashboard driven case management and risk assessment/sentence planning tool for London & Thames Valley Probation.
•   Re-development of existing CMS in Jersey & Guernsey to a new modern browser-based web application.
•   Design work on the AIM application which helps identify prisoners who are potentially at risk of self-injurious or suicidal behaviours.
•   Product design for a new highly intuitive mobile application and microsite that has been designed to better engage and support service currently being piloted in the UK Probation Service.

Michael Campbell

Expert Advisor, De Profundis Ltd

Michael Campbell is an expert advisor to prisons and supports governors,
officers and prisoners to implement change that strengthens safety for everyone in prison.
Michael served 4 ½ years in prisons across the country and develops practical solutions grounded in
his experience to tackle prisoners’ anxiety, stress and frustration. From the first days spent
behind bars to the days spent preparing for release, Michael’s work helps prisoners to
cope with an alien environment, in order to reduce the staggering toll of self-harm,
suicide and violence inside. His approaches have been adopted by every organisation managing
prisons in the UK in both public and private sectors.
His Company, De Profundis, works both in the private and public sector with it's work being
recommended by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons in their Expectations for Prisons. De
Profundis is also recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the areas of prevention or selfharm
and suicide in custodial settings.
Michael recorded a series of lectures for De Montfort University for the 2019 - 2020 Academic Year.
Michael campaigns for a zero target for self-harm in prisons and argues for an approach to criminal
justice based on evidence over ideology. Michael blogs, tweets and records podcasts
as the @TheTartanCon.
