Uplifting Offenders Through Skills Training and Employability Programmes
This presentation covers Singapore Prison Service (SPS)’s and Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG)’s collaborative efforts in providing skills training and education for inmates, with the aim to enhance ex-offenders’ employability potential, promote lifelong learning, skills deepening, and long-term career development. These initiatives include upskilling offenders in digital skills, expanding academic pathways and training academies in prison, as well as allowing offenders to take up employability enhancing programmes while on community-based programmes.
The International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) supports the work of European criminal justice systems leaders in their race against prejudice as part of Yellow Ribbon.
