Troy Jack Thevathasan has two decades of experience in the Singapore Prison Service (SPS), where he has held positions in direct practice, programme implementation and management, and planning. He currently holds the position of Deputy Director (Correctional Rehabilitation Services), leading and overseeing the work, practice, and professional development of correctional rehabilitation specialists. Outside of SPS, Troy lectures on Social Work and Offender Rehabilitation at the National University of Singapore. He also serves as the chairperson of the Criminal Justice Social Work chapter of the Singapore Association of Social Workers. Troy has an M.A. in Applied Psychology.

Xiang Long CHENG

Senior Assistant Director / Lead Psychologist, (Correctional Research Branch and Singapore Prison Service

Mr Cheng Xiang Long graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology (2nd Upper), and joined Singapore Prison Service (SPS) as a psychologist in 2008. He subsequently completed his Master’s Degree in Psychology (Clinical) in 2014. He is currently the Senior Assistant Director of the Correctional Research Branch and oversees a team of psychologists and researchers in SPS. He is also a Principal Psychologist, and conducts risk assessments and intervention for adult violent and sex offenders. He also provides supervision for younger psychologists in their clinical work.

Tan Wee Zi

Yellow Ribbon Singapore

Wee Zi Tan joined Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) in 2020 and currently leads a team to oversee matters relating to policy development, research and data analytics, to develop insights to further YRSG’s mission to uplift ex-offenders through enhancing their employment outcomes and to create an inclusive society. Prior to this, she was with the Singapore Prison Service for 10 years, and had experience in a variety of roles including rehabilitation policy planning and operational stints.
Wee Zi graduated from the University of York with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and also completed her postgraduates studies in Criminology at the University of Cambridge.
