Ms. WONG Sze-ting Ada is a registered clinical psychologist specialising in substance-related and addictive disorders. She obtained her Master of Social Science in Clinical Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and currently works in the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department (HKCSD). Since joining the department, Ms. WONG has dedicated her efforts on supporting individuals struggling with drug addiction and has worked in various institutions, including Drug Addiction Treatment Centres (DATCs) and centres for young Person in Custody. Additionally, she serves as an honorary clinical supervisor for the clinical psychology programmes at both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
In 2023, Ms. WONG took the initiative to augment psychological services in DATCs and played a vital role in the establishment of Serenity Space, a specialised treatment zone designed specifically for female drug abusers. Her notable contributions include the incorporation of new treatment models into the drug addiction treatment programme with the focus of developing internal assets and establishing a pro-social network to support individuals' rehabilitation. She has gained distinguished recognition for introducing a range of psychological interventions, including the Dog Rehabilitation Services, as part of the augmented programme.
For her exceptional work, Ms. WONG received a commendation from the HKCSD in 2020, acknowledging her dedication and outstanding work. Her commitment to improving psychological services and implementing innovative treatment models has positively influenced the lives of many individuals seeking rehabilitation and recovery.
