Professor Shu-Lung Yang

Distinguished Professor, The Department and Graduate Institute of Criminology, National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan

Professor Yang received his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Albany in United States in 1992 and was appointed to the Department and Graduate Institute of Criminology at National Chung Cheng University in August 1997. In August 2001, he was appointed as a professor and head of the Department and Graduate Institute of Criminology and the director of the Crime Research Center of the university. In August 2013, he was appointed Vice President of National Chung Cheng University.

Professor Yang has published more than 10 books on crime prevention and control, including criminology, criminal psychology, correction, etc., and has served as the editor and editor-in-chief of Asian Journal of Criminology, Asian Journal on Addictions and Taiwan Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Journal for many years, and has presided over nearly 60 research projects for the past 30 years. He is currently a member of the Taiwan Government Drug Control Commission, a member of the Correctional Education Steering Committee of the training School of the Ministry of Education, and a member of the Correctional Policy Advisory Committee of the Corrections Agency of the Ministry of Justice, and was elected as the President of the Taiwan Society of Criminology and the vice chairperson of the General Assembly, Asian Criminology society. He also now chaired the Supervisory Board of the Asian Association for Substance Abuse Research.

Shuping Tzeng

Professor, The Department and Graduate Institute of Criminology, National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan

Professor Shu-Ping Tzeng has been teaching at National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan since obtaining her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from SUNY-Albany in 2006. Her
research interests primarily focus on empirical studies of crime issues and quantitative methods. Based on her experiences in participating in research projects
and social services, she incorporates research methods from business management
to conduct interdisciplinary studies on criminology and criminal justice issues as her
future research topics. Her main research areas are threefold: "Deviant behavior
among adolescents and related factors," "Exploration and prevention of crime
issues," and "Investigating the work of criminal justice personnel.
