Aims:
To share information, best practices and lessons learned on best practice methodologies in corrections intelligence.
Objectives:
- Build an international community and network of organisations with an interest in corrections intelligence
- Generate constructive dialogue on the values and benefits of external oversight with respect to intelligence frameworks within the corrections sector
- Promote compliance with the Rule of Law and domestic/international human rights obligations with respect to the collection and use of intelligence within the corrections sector
- Share technical advice and assistance to organisations responsible for corrections intelligence as requested and appropriate
Key Activities:
- Share unclassified reporting with respect to corrections intelligence and publications
- Identify trends and issues in corrections intelligence
- Raise awareness on values and benefits of corrections intelligence including its contribution to public safety.
