Anaïs Tschanz, PhD in Criminology from the University of Montreal, is a researcher and lecturer at the Interdisciplinary Research Center on the Prison Field (CIRAP), affiliated with the French National School of Prison Administration (ÉNAP). Her research primarily focuses on carceral geography and security technologies, with a critical examination of the punitive and carceral logics that shape institutions and their impact on individuals, and vice versa. Currently, Dr. Tschanz is exploring the development of criminology in France, with particular attention to its influence on the practices of professionals working in reintegration and probation.
