Vikki Gill MSc, GMBPsS, works for HM Prison and Probation Service as a National Specialist Lead contributing to HMPPS’ rehabilitation offer. Vikki has 16 years clinical experience working in a custodial setting delivering and managing a range of interventions, and conducting risk assessments with young adults aged 18-24 who had engaged in sexual and violent offending. In the 7 years working in Interventions Services, Vikki has developed further specialism in group-affiliated offending, and has been involved in the evidence-informed design, training, and implementation of Offending Behaviour Programmes for those in custody or on probation in England and Wales.

Sunny Kandola is a Registered Forensic Psychologist and National Specialist Lead within His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). He has over 10 years experience in conducting risk assessments, providing consultancy, and delivering psychological interventions with adults. Sunny has specialised in working with neurodivergent individuals across prison and probation settings, with a specific focus on supporting the needs of individuals with Learning Disability and Learning Challenges. He has been involved in the design, training and implementation of Offending Behaviour Programmes for those in custody or on probation in England and Wales.

Cara Cunningham

Senior National Specialist Lead, HMPPS Interventions Services, United Kingdom

Cara Cunningham MSc, AFBPsP, is a Practitioner Psychologist (Forensic) registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Cara has over 25 years’ experience working in either HM Prison and Probation Service or Secure Services in the National Health Service, providing or developing evidence-based approaches to assessment and intervention with those who offend, and specialist advice, consultancy, and support to internal and external stakeholders. Her professional clinical experience has focused on complex assessment, formulation, intervention and accredited programmes with juveniles, young adults, men convicted of general and sexual violence and those presenting with personality and mental health challenges and supporting the training and well-being of staff working in specialist regimes. Cara currently holds the position of Senior National Specialist Lead within HMPPS Interventions Services contributing to HMPPS’ rehabilitation offer by providing evidence-based solutions to working with those who offend. Cara has a particular interest in rehabilitation for women and is an advocate for evidence informed design and responsive approaches.
