Brett commenced working in the Prison space in 1979 installing and maintaining Electronic Security Solutions in Qld correctional centres. For the then-named HM Prisons facilities at Boggo Road at Dutton Park & Wacol Security Patients Hospital. In the last 40 years, Brett has worked in the United Kingdom & here in the Asia Pacific Region, providing Global Enterprise Security Solutions for companies such as Cisco Systems, Sun Micro Systems, Coca-Cola, Qantas, and SAP. To name a few. More recently, in his role with Saab Australia, Brett has been involved with the Design Implementation & Life Cycle Management of the Auckland South facility in NZ and the Clarence Correctional Centre in Grafton, NSW, Australia’s largest correctional facility.
Over recent years the Saab Team has delivered the Security Upgrade & Expansion at The Brisbane & West Moreton Youth Detention Centres and won the Australian Security Industry Award for best Integrated Security Solution for both the Southern Queensland Correction Centre at Gatton & the Queensland Children’s Hospital (formerly Lady Cilento) security defect rectification project.

During Brett’s time at Saab solutions have been delivered into over 20 Correctional facilities in Australia & New Zealand. With Saab currently implementing Security solutions for Sydney Opera House, Western Plains Correctional Centre (Lara Victoria) & the Southern Queensland Correctional Precinct Stage 2 a 1500 Bed correctional Facility for Queensland Corrections.

Nicholas Rowe

General Manager Justice Operations, Serco

Nicholas Rowe is the General Manager of Justice Operations for Serco ASPAC. Nicholas oversees the justice operations for the Asia-Pacific Justice and Immigration business, having worked in senior operational leadership roles in the UK, Australia and New Zealand within Corrections facilities, including the South Queensland Correctional Facility. With nearly 30 years of experience in the field of justice and corrections across these jurisdictions, in both public and private sectors, Nicholas has a proven track record of successfully leading large-scale justice operations and projects. He has a deep understanding of the complexities of the justice system and a commitment to delivering innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of justice services. Nicholas is highly skilled in operational leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement, innovation and team leadership, and has a reputation for delivering results.
