VR for Drug Rehabilitation: Developing and Using VR Technology for Rehabilitation of Drug Users in Probation Service

I continue to do my master’s degree in Addiction Counseling an Rehabilitation in the Department of Psyciatry at Demokrasi University.
I graduated from Hacettepe University’s Department of Social Work in 2010, and due to my interest in field of juvenile delinquency, I completed a one- year internship at the Ankara Closed Child and Youth Detention Center during my fourth year of undergraduate studies.
In 2011, I started working at the Ministry of Justice, General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses.
I worked as a social worker for four years at Odemiş M Type Closed Penal Institution, for six years at Izmir Children and Youth Closed Detention Center, and for two years at Izmir Probation Directorate. I took part in the preparation of the preliminary application and full application forms for the "Project for Developing a Rehabilitation Programme through Art Activities for Children in Prisons" within the scope of the European Union Presidency Civil Society Dialogue VI Grant Programme, for which the Association of Social Workers is an applicant. I worked as the project coordinator in the Project of Developing a Rehabilitation Program through Art Activities for Children in Prisons, coordinated by the Association of Social Workers.
Since 2013, I have been a trainer of training programs for staff working in juvenile prisons and probation offices.

Necmi Sultani

As the Manager of probation directorates in the Ministry of Justice in Türkiye, I have been working in Sivas, Sakarya, Istanbul and most recently in Izmir since 2006.
I graduated from Kirikkale University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Turkish Language and Literature Undergraduate Programme, Anadolu University Faculty of Economics Undergraduate Programme, Anadolu University Vocational School of Justice Associate Degree Programme. I also completed Istanbul Yeni Yuzyil University Conciliator Training.
I lead the implementation and execution of the projects carried out by the Ministry of Justice - Breath for the Future / saplings today - Breath for Tomorrow - Balance - Trust in Society, Hope for the Individual - in the institutions I manage.
