Dr. Jihyun Kwon is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on accountability, oversight, and administrative governance of the criminal justice system, including the police and correctional services. She has received a Vanier Canadian Graduate Scholarship, and a recipient of the Delta Kappa Gamma World Fellowship and two Ontario Graduate Scholarships. She was advisor to the Independent Expert at the Ministry of the Solicitor-General in Ontario, where she worked to enforce a human-rights consent order in Ontario prisons between 2018 and 2020.
