Serene Low is an Executive from Singapore Prison Service (SPS) Community Corrections Policy and Planning team. She oversees the Volunteer Case Officer (VCO) scheme, where trained volunteers provide case management and prosocial support to supervisees on community supervision programmes. Since its launch in February 2023, the scheme has successfully grown to about 200 volunteers, significantly forwarding SPS's efforts in community corrections. As part of volunteer management, Serene partners a dynamic staff team which strengthens volunteers' capabilities through structured training, warm engagement and evaluation of the scheme. Andre D. Martin earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Hampton University and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois – Chicago. Though trained as a clinician, Andre’ also studied Community Psychology, which won his heart. As a result, Andre serves his community through his employment at Safer Foundation. Currently, he fulfills the role of Center Supervisor of North Lawndale Adult Transition Center, a community-based correctional center which houses 200 adult men. He has more than 25 years’ experience in this field. Ana Cristina Neves, PhD, is a senior probation officer at DGRSP – Directorate-General of Rehabilitation and Prison Services, where since 2016 is the head of the Community Sanctions and Measures Division. Graduated in Psychology in 2004 and completed a PhD in Psychology of Justice in 2010, with research on the validation of risk assessment tools. At DGRSP, is responsible for providing guidelines for case management practices and collaborates as trainer of probation staff. Since 2022, is part of the DGRSP technical team of Project CoPPer - Cooperation to promote a European Volunteering Programme in Probation Services.
