She uses the transformative story of Kodet, a Ugandan woman who successfully transitioned from imprisonment to owning her own sustainable business to illustrate the benefit s of humane and rehabilitative approaches. Rope highlights pressing issues such as overcrowding and the impact of crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and other issues illustrated in Global Prison Trends, the flagship series report of PRI. The organisation works towards promoting the use of technology and effective leadership that prioritises human rights, highlighting the importance of reform efforts that incorporate the experiences of people with lived experiences to build safer and more just societies.
